Dst index (Kyoto)
Dst−33.0 nT
What this shows
The Dst index measures the depression of the horizontal magnetic field at the equator caused by the ring current during a geomagnetic storm. More negative means a stronger storm: below −50 nT is already a storm; below −250 nT, extreme. These are quicklook values, which Kyoto later replaces with provisional and then final ones; the current hour is updated as it fills.
